  • #BeKind21

    How often do you practice acts of kindness? The Office of Student Protections and Title IX (OSP) is collaborating with Born This Way Foundation on the #BeKind21 initiative, encouraging CPS school communities to practice an act of kindness each day from September 1 to September 21 and share their participation on social media with the hashtag #BeKind21. 

    Young people who describe their environments as “kind” are more likely to rate themselves as mentally healthy, according to Born This Way Foundation research. The goal of #BeKind21 is to expand the definition of kindness to include everything from advocating for others to prioritizing your own mental health to caring for the environment.  

    Start thinking about new ways you will show kindness during the challenge, and be on the lookout for more information about #BeKind21! 

    #BeKind21 is a part of OSP’s efforts to transform bias-based harm in our schools. If you need to report bias-based harm or related complaints to OSP, you can do so using one of the following processes:
